Established in 1974 T&H Contract Services celebrates a big anniversary year in 2024!
We are excited to be celebrating 50 years in business. Formed in 1974 by Sid Thomas and his nephew Peter Aldridge T&H Contract Services Ltd was initially simply a contract cleaning company. Over the years the business expanded and so did the portfolio of services offered.
Peter and Sid worked to acquire a number of smaller cleaning businesses in the local area to enable them to expand their skills and the area covered.

Portchester Cleaning Services
Carpet and General Cleaning
Carpet and General Cleaning expanded the services the business could offer but also brought Michael Aldridge, Peters son, to the T&H team. Michael commenced with the business as Operations Director and now serves as Managing Director and sole owner of the business.
T&H Contract Services operated from Haslemere Road in Southsea for many years however in 2022 Michael took the decision to move the business out of the city for better transport links, easier parking and a purpose build unit.
T&H Contract Services is now situated in Endeavour Business Park in Havant. This new site allows for larger, higher specification offices a large and well appointed warehouse space and ample parking for the variety of vehicle required for the operation of the business.
A business with history - why it matters
Since its founding T&H Contract Services has been a family run business. With Peter and Sid working together to start a cleaning business, to Peter taking sole control of the business in 1984 when Sid retired. It needs to be noted that Sid continued to help with cleaning tasks well past retirement age and regularly visited the office well into his 80's. Peter and Sid took their business very personally and meeting the clients needs was a key priority. They worked hard to build a strong network of clients, suppliers and quality specialist service providers to ensure that every need was met.
This personal approach to business relationship is what makes a 50 year history beneficial to us and our clients now.
