Our painting team breathe new life into this period building – Blackheath

Stunning results from our painting and decorating team working on behalf of Drycon Group here at this newly opened high end opticians.

Before the work commenced the building was showing signs of neglect lets see how our team transformed it!

Although this was a previously attractive period property it had clearly fallen into a state of disrepair.  The stunning feature windows and stonework had peeling and weathered paintwork and a number of cracks.  The interior had also fared badly with large patches of sooty residue, cracked plaster and peeling paint – it was clearly time for a T&H transformation!

Our large team of skilled painters and decorators were involved in carrying out this project, using scaffold towers to access the high ceilings.  The walls were carefully prepared and filled before applying paint throughout. Working alongside construction teams carrying out the building works, electrical and plumbing fitouts our team worked late into the night to ensure the project stayed on track. 

Our commitment to maintain the clients time schedule was especially evident on this project as our team stayed behind at the end of the day when the other trades had finished to allow painting work to carry on uninterrupted.

The exterior stonework and window frames needed a lot of TLC, the paintwork was peeling and a number of surface cracks ruined the look of the stonework. 

The team worked systematically in stages to restore the paintwork, carefully filling and sanding repeatedly until the surface was perfectly smooth throughout. Only once the surface had been perfected did they apply coats of exterior masonry paint for a flawless finish.

The finished exterior is a credit the to the street, bringing new life to this period building.  The building has now reopened as an opticians, ready to serve the local community.
